Selection of the ultimate name for the JKUAT-Nissin Noodles Company

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) partnered with Nissin Foods Holdings Co., Ltd. of Japan to produce Nissin Noodles. The partnership started in 2008 as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity of a School Food Program. This partnership led to the development of locally customized, high quality instant noodles for Kenyans. The noodles have been trading in the local market under the tagline Mlo Halisi. The JKUAT-Nissin Noodles joint venture company is now matured and ready for a unique and independent Kenyan and African identify. The University Community and stakeholders were invited to participate in the selection of a suitable name for the Company on February 25th, 2017. 115 suggestions were received and reviewed. Seven common themes have been picked from the suggestions. The University Community is invited to participate in the selection of the ultimate name.

This is to cordially invite you to take part in the selection of the ultimate name for the Company to carry on the dream of the JKUAT-Nissin Noodles.
